Buying Ab Exercise Machines
There was a time when my sister had incredible abs because she watched the food that she ate, limited her intake of fat and did countless ab crunches daily and, although it was hard work, the results were more than worth the effort. But everything changed after the birth of her first child when she swiftly went very soft around the middle, had obvious love handles, and was not able to seem to rid herself of the flab no matter how many diets she went on.
This would have been bad enough in itself, however she also found that she was not able to do her ab crunches anymore as a result of severe chronic back pain. She was not prepared however to accept being out of shape and she made up her mind that it was time to check out various ab exercise machines.
An ab exercise machines is specially designed to concentrate on the abs during exercise and the vast majority of machines replicate regular crunch exercises although they are far easier on the body. For instance, most people do crunch exercises lying flat on the floor with their hands clasped behind their head putting them at risk for back injury. This is not however a risk with ab exercise machines since they restrict your movement and force you to maintain a good posture to operate the machine. For this reason abdominal exercise machines are just about foolproof and permit the rest of your body a break while you are concentrating on your abs.
My sister had seen numerous late-night TV ads for exercise machines but was not prepared to rush out and buy one solely on the basis of what she had seen on TV. She did not want to listen to what actors and professional bodybuilders were paid to say but wished to hear what ordinary individuals had to say about these
ab machines based upon their own experience.
So she looked online and found a number of consumer reviews for some of the leading abdominal exercise machines. She wanted to find out which of the machines were well-constructed, easy to use, and actually worked on sculpting your abs and which machines would just be a waste of her money and time. She also wished to discover websites where she could buy the most popular abdominal exercise machines at low prices because the machines are not cheap and any discount which she might be able to find would be a help.
One remark she made to me was that she was pleased that she had read the online reviews because one of the machines that she had her eye on was not very well received by those people who reviewed it. It would seem that the machine in question has a couple of significant problems that she would not have discovered in advance of buying it. In the end she bought a machine that was quite a way down her list of possibilities but which had nonetheless had enthusiastic reviews.
The best news is that with her machine she is able to work on her abs several times weekly without experiencing any of the back pain which she had previously without it. Very importantly, she is starting to witness a reduction in her waist line and should shortly be happily back in shape again and looking very much like her old self.
